btw - are these headstones custom made? does someone (or their family) actually specify what exact they want made, approve the design etc.? just asking out of curiosity

arun we are soooo going to take that trip…who knows it might be better than the ghost walk ooooh…and there are the ones in scotland that are amazing and i found out from this gurl the other night that her hometown (now i dont remember where right now) someplace in UK…is worth a visit (for graveyard fanatics…)
LOL…but no seriously…its not just about the graveyard…its what’s written on each individual’s gravestone that makes me want to visit these places. some of them (especially the younger ones) have such pathos in theirs… imagine… ur whole life scribed in a few short lines…hmmpfff…im going to write mine before i go meet the dead :P… who knows what they’d write otherwise…lol

PS : yes someone would have to select/ customize the particular tombstone for the dead…in olden days you could make out the nobles and the rich by just looking at their graves.

PPS… R.I.P stands for Rest in Peace

Beautiful pics, but why such a choice with colours…? I know this cemetary very well and the colours are amazing, especially in the evening’s golden sun… I feel that with such dark colours some of the place’s real beauty is lost

And what comes to the writings on the gravestones… one of my favourite writers said he wants his epitaph to be: “He died while he was alive.” In its simplicity this really conveys all I have to say about it

hmmm…although i quite agree with the fact that i myself like a whole different aspect in photography…i wudnt like to put those words in my epitaph…perhaps because it would not be true in my case.

U know it all by now! and btw abt those verses, I wish (if i hav) the ability to hear something(similar thing) after my death from someone for me. Well family is diff. If i get good friends who can shed that 1 drop of tear, my soul will rest in peace! My dad used to say “Earning money is not that important rather its earning people’s love/trust along the course of journey called life which is more important”. ok no more philosophy :-p

Well to be frank what ever u see here, are in dual tone mode and it was really better in colors. Since u hav seen this place, i agree the real beauty might be lost. But then i decided creating this water sketch kinda photos. The fact is, this is not what i went for to capture and in this session i was actually running out of time, and i am still unfortunate to hav my “MACRO” lens. Anyway thats not my last photo session. To an extent even i am not satisfied with these shots, so will try to come up with much more better shots. Thnx for ur comments! Redg the writings.. will get bck sometime latter!
