After a good dinner at one of the Italian restaurant headed back home. On the way i saw a small group of people gazing on something. Since music was playing i thought it must be as usual some music performer. But then there was this applause and the music still continued to play. Ok, this is not usual music stuff and so i peeped in.
There was this guy, with lots of spray paint cans and a collection of picturesque cosmos what hubble telescope has not yet seen. They were really so fantastic and they looked almost like real photos of another world. He folded carefully and handed over the completed painting to a guy for whom he painted.
Actually, considering my financial situation i was not in the mindset to buy but was really interested to seem him in action. So i approached the guy and asked whether can he draw one more so that i can take video of it. He said he is done for the day and will be leaving once his son comes back.
As he was saying this to me his son came and they were ready to pack up things. I just told him “Draw one for me. I will not buy but will give you 10Euros to watch it and take video” This seems to be an irresistible offer to him and so he agreed. When he completed i couldn’t resist going without buying it.
Since the video is shabby, a little explanation.
- In the left bottom of painting, the spectrum sort of color is due to the base painting he did with yellow, green, red and black.
- In the planet (What shall i name it?) he brought the crater sort of effect by rubbing the wet paint with nothing but news paper.
- The other small dots which appear as million stars at distance is brought by spinkinling yellow paint by hand.
- The bright shine is not from my flash rather he used folded paper to draw criss-cross lines and then spraying white paint.
- And those rock pillars, he used knife to make them but the difference in color is due again due to the lower base layer color.
But damn, i have to call back Vuokko for cash as i dint had any. I came to know he is actually a russian staying in Estonia and used to come over to Helsinki on weekend to make some money out of his paintings. The surprising thing is, the first think his son asked me was “Tum kaise ho?” I was bit taken back with surprise. That’s the only sentence he knows and he is doing his schooling in Germany. He also seems to know who is Aishwarya Rai. He he he he Just like how we know Maria Sharapova
