(4th) Diwali in Helsinki - aka Helsinki Firework Competetiton 2009

Sometime i do get the work done at god speed (As long as coffee is there). I know if i don’t do this today itself, it will stay quiet a long time in my “To-Do” list. More over i was asked to be the official photographer for 2 of my friends marriage (He he he he he.. i know i know… What you will think hearing this… Pity those guys) So planning to try out few more stuff before hand!

Anyway those who don’t have the option to see it live (becauseof the bad weather) enjoy the partial show here.

On a serious note: I really don’t mind taking the entire crowd to India on Diwali if Finn-air could sponsor! (Titles sometime later… Damn i am sleepy)

Must have been quite a show of fireworks! Despite the running around and the rain you seem to have got some great pictures :) I liked the red ones in these pics.
If this was a competition which was the winning entry?

Thnx. But these are not the shots i went for. Bad place, bad timing, bad preparation and still something came out good. Thts the only thing i am happy abt. :-)

wow…this was quiteeee a surprise! you know what you should do next? Board a flight to Dubai during the next shopping festival here…take my camera…and shoot :-P they’ve got fireworks going off everyday at 8:00pm for a month ( i never get to goooo…grrrr woes of not being bigggg enough :-P )

After a good dinner at one of the Italian restaurant headed back home. On the way i saw a small group of people gazing on something. Since music was playing i thought it must be as usual some music performer. But then there was this applause and the music still continued [...]
